The founder

The beginning
Eleven years ago, a father opened a modest khussa shop in Sargodha with a simple rule: every pair is made by hand, and made to last.

The craft
Our artisans cut leather, stitch tilla and zari, and shape every curled toe by hand: the same techniques passed down through families of shoemakers.

The family
When we started sharing the workshop online, brides and grooms from across Pakistan and the diaspora found us. Today more than 200K follow along.

Today
Now led by his daughter, AKKM ships to Canada, the UK, Europe and the USA, while every pair is still made the same way: slowly, by hand.
